Jen Coleman To All Instructors

Jen Coleman grew up in Chesapeake, VA, as a multi-passionate creative.  After high school she chose to follow her love of music and moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where she graduated with a BFA in Music Business/Management in 2000. 

Early in her career Jen briefly served as the Director of Music for a local preschool while teaching one-on-one piano and voice lessons for over two decades, as well as homeschool co-op music classes. More recently she has pivoted and is now working as an artist. Her main medium is watercolor, and she has had work shown in local and national galleries.

Jen has homeschooled her two children since 2014. Her oldest graduated from Tidewater Community College in spring 2026 and has been accepted to Virginia Tech with an anticipated graduation date of 2028; and her youngest will be a homeschool senior next year.  In addition to teaching her kids, she loves to read, knit, and dabble in lots of crafty things.
