Mr. Timothy (Tim) Merrick To All Instructors

Tim Merrick is a new instructor to HSOBX for Fall 2026, but not a new member! His lovely wife and kids have been enjoying HSOBX for multiple semesters. Tim is a life long student and educator of adults in multiple scientific disciplines. His educational background is in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Management, and Systems Analysis. His 23 years of service in the US Navy has provided him the experience and background necessary to easily relate complex scientific concepts to everyday life. His goal is to make learning fun, engaging, and relatable to everyone. Outside the classroom, he is a proud husband and father who enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family.
