Michelle Gilbert To All Instructors

Michelle holds a master's degree in Education and spent three years as a classroom teacher before choosing to stay home with her four children. She currently homeschools her oldest. In the co-op Michelle is interested in teaching enrichment classes rooted in project-based learning, discussion, and creative expression.

Her teaching philosophy centers on the idea that children learn best when they are genuinely engaged — reading real books, making real things, and wrestling with real questions. 

Michelle is an avid reader and writer who believes stories are one of the best tools we have for understanding the world.
